The Active/Passion Shot
Running, Hiking, Rock climbing. Something PHYSICAL and that you LOVE doing.
Men want to see a woman can get dirty and get out in the world.
It doesn’t have to be a “sport.” Walking the dog, playing an instrument (chick drummers are hot,) playing chess, chilling out in the woods, playing mini-golf—anything that shows you living the adventure that is your life.
“Rules” for Active/Passion Shots…
- Don’t need to be as “professional.”
- Can show you being intensely focused (if you’re doing something intense.)
- Always caption your active shots. Talk about what you’re doing in the shot and say why you love doing it.
- If you love your job, this can be where you show off what you do.
“Running with Mom. Great way to stay connected to family.”
“When I’m on the rock all I can think about is the next hand hold.”
“Focused. When I’ve got free time I spend it looking for great images.”
What if my passion isn’t “active”?
Do you love reading? Drawing? Playing videogames? Baking? That’s great! But don’t just post a photo of your latest sketch or high score or culinary success – have a friend to take a photo of you doing whatever it is that you love to do. If you’re doing what makes you happy, it’s hot.

A couple quick notes…
In general, “Passion Shots” can be anything you really enjoy doing that shows you’ve got a life and don’t “need” a man.
If your biggest passion is “getting $#@$ faced” you may want to leave that out =)
If you think you don’t have a passion, you’re wrong. Think back to what you LOVE to do with your time. Get back to it.
Your Assignment…
Ditch your “Man Repulser” photos.
Get a friend with a camera (preferably a real camera that doesn’t make phone calls) to take your shots.
Have FUN with the photo shoot. It’s a game and nobody has to see the photos unless you choose to show them.
